Disclosure

Transparency is key in the world of blogging and influencer content. This disclosure statement is here to inform you about how Vexorna.com makes money and the types of content you might encounter that involve partnerships or compensation. I want you to feel confident that you know the what and why behind any monetized content on this site.

About Me (The Blogger): Vexorna is a personal fashion, beauty, and style blog written and edited solely by me, Anna Manina. All opinions expressed here are mine and mine alone. I’m not a journalist or a big media company – just a gal sharing her passions online. However, I do treat this blog professionally in the sense that I follow ethical guidelines and strive to be honest and fair with my content, especially when compensation is involved.

How This Blog Makes Money

To keep Vexorna running (web hosting, camera equipment, that ever-growing lipstick collection… 😅) and to compensate the time I invest in creating content, I utilize a few monetization methods:

  • Affiliate Links: As mentioned in the Affiliate Disclaimer, I participate in affiliate marketing programs. This means if I link to a product and you purchase through that link, I may earn a commission. These links will be disclosed within the post (you might see a note like “contains affiliate links”). Common affiliate programs I use include Amazon Associates, and possibly others like RewardStyle or ShopStyle Collective as the blog grows. The presence of affiliate links does not influence what I choose to cover – if it’s not something I truly like, I won’t force it in just to make a commission.

  • Sponsored Posts or Paid Content: Occasionally, I collaborate with brands for sponsored content. A sponsored post means a brand or company has paid me (or provided some form of compensation, such as a free product or service) in exchange for content exposure. If I agree to a sponsorship, it’s because the brand’s product or mission genuinely resonates with me and I believe it will interest my readers. Sponsored posts are clearly labeled – you’ll see a note like “Sponsored by [Brand]” or “[This post is sponsored]” at the top of the article, and often a mention within the content as well. On social media, I use #ad or the platform’s built-in “Paid Partnership” label. I always disclose when content is sponsored. There’s no hidden advertising here.

  • Product Reviews & Gifted Items: Many times I review products that I purchased myself. Other times, brands send me “PR samples” or gifts (like a new makeup line to test out) hoping I’ll feature them. Receiving a free product never guarantees coverage on the blog. I only write about items I actually try and like. If I did receive something for free and decide to mention it, I will let you know it was gifted. My review will be 100% honest, highlighting both pros and cons. If a product was a complete miss, I might opt not to write about it at all rather than post a purely negative review – unless I feel warning you is necessary.

  • Advertising: You might see banner ads or sidebar ads on Vexorna, provided by networks such as Google AdSense. These ads are typically labeled as “Ads by Google” or something similar. They are pay-per-click or impression-based, meaning I earn a few cents when ads are viewed or clicked. I don’t directly control which ads show up for you – they could be based on your browsing behavior (that’s those cookies at work) or just generic ads. I do filter out inappropriate categories to the best of my ability (for example, I try to block ads that are overly spammy or irrelevant). If you ever see an ad that is offensive or really out of place, please let me know so I can look into filtering it.

  • No Paid Positive Reviews: Just to be very clear – I never accept money in exchange for writing a positive review. Compensation might get a brand consideration or exposure on my platform, but it will not buy my opinion. If I’m being paid to write about something, you will still get my genuine thoughts – the good, the bad, and the “meh.” I value your trust way too much to mislead you. In the long run, an honest reputation is worth more to me than a one-time payout.

Honesty & Transparency Pledge

I abide by standard advertising and disclosure guidelines (such as the U.S. FTC Guidelines for endorsements and testimonials). What this means:

  • Whenever there is a material connection between me and a brand (financial, free product, or otherwise), I will make it unambiguously clear.

  • All endorsements or testimonials on this blog reflect my actual opinions, findings, beliefs, or experiences. If something didn’t impress me, I’ll convey that (politely, of course).

  • The content on sponsored or affiliate posts is written by me and reflects my voice. I do not give brands editorial control over what I say. They might provide background info or suggest I highlight a feature, but I ensure any content is crafted in my own words and honest perspective. I also reserve the right to say no to partnerships that don’t feel like a good fit for me or my audience.

  • Sometimes I may use referral links or discount codes (for instance, “Use code ANNA20 for 20% off”). If those are provided by a brand and give me a perk (like credit or commission), I treat them like affiliate links and will disclose accordingly.

Sponsored Social Media Content

Since Vexorna has a presence on social media (find me on Pinterest, Instagram, etc.), I want to mention that any sponsored content or gifted items on those platforms will be disclosed too. I usually use hashtags like #ad, #sponsored, or #gifted to keep things transparent. The rules can vary by platform, but I err on the side of obvious disclosure everywhere.

Final Notes

My goal is that you always know when I might be getting a payment or perk for something I’ve posted. If you ever find content on Vexorna that you feel is not properly disclosed, please reach out and let me know. I’m always open to improving and doing the right thing.

I deeply appreciate the time you spend reading my blog and engaging with my content. Trust is a two-way street – I trust you to be here because you value my perspective, and in turn, I work hard to earn and keep your trust through transparency and honesty.

If you have any questions about this disclosure or the way I monetize content, you’re welcome to contact me at anna@vexorna.com. Thank you for supporting Vexorna, in whatever way you do – even just visiting the site and enjoying the content means the world to me!
